About UsMy first purebred dog was a German Shepherd named, Paula's Heidi Ho CDX. Heidi was my soul mate for 15 &1/2 years. After having Heidi I wanted a dog I could show in Conformation. I then sold my horse and purchased Susie, a Miniature Pinscher. Susie was a really nice dog, but a spoiled rotten little brat. She would go into the show ring and act scared, then come out and prance around at ringside and look beautiful. Susie decided that dog shows were not for her. Susie was not destined to be a show dog, but she was the foundation bitch for my line of Blue-Jay Min Pins. Susie was then trained in Obedience and obtained her Companion Dog Excellence Degree with AKC. Approximately thirteen years ago, I decided I wanted another dog. I love my Miniature Pinschers, but I wanted a larger dog to do outdoor things with. Min Pins frown on weather under fifty degrees. I live on a farm and enjoy being in the outdoors and hiking in our woods. I found the Entlebucher in a book called, Atlas of Dog Breeds of the World. I did more research and decided that this was the breed for me. I then waited about two years until I was ready to add another dog to our family. I had an elderly Mininature Pinscher and wanted to wait until he was gone before bringing a puppy into the house. Finally, I could wait no longer and started looking for a breeder to get a puppy. I have friends who live in Europe and they were kind enough to help me find a breeder. Well, to make a long story short, Hanna, my first Entlebucher was born on the same day that my Min Pin, Hamilton passed away. Another odd note is that my new puppy had to be named with a name that started with a "H". Well, to this day, I believe that it was fate, Hanna was meant to be with our family. Hanna is everything that you would want in an Ently. Anyone that meets her, just loves her; she has added so much fun, enjoyment and love to my family.
Since then, I have added 3 more Ently's from Europe. Unfortunately, one of my dogs died of lymphosarcoma
(a cancer that effects the lymph nodes). Calli passed away at 2 years of age. Calli, is from a different kennel as my other Entlys, to my knowledge she is the only Ently in the USA to have been afflicted with this horrible disease.Loving and living with dogs comes with a lifetime of commitment and I am committed to this breed and enjoy sharing my knowledge and experience when I place my puppies. |
